In an update from yesterday's post about the Sunday night accident involving the caretaker of a Liberty Bell and Ten Commandments replicas, the driver of the historical display was apparently in good condition at a Fort Worth hospital Monday morning.

David Hall was loading the display onto a flatbed trailer at Victory Assembly of God Church when a Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by 29-year-old Gerardo Burgos, rammed into the trailer.

Witnesses said Hall was knocked about 20 feet and his survival is a miracle. After treatment, Burgos was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and police are still investigating whether or not speed and alcohol were factors in the accident. Burgos has two convictions in Tarrant County for driving while intoxicated, in addition to previous convictions for evading arrest and aggravated robbery, according to records.
