Aqua Dots have sickened several children in the United States - The coating on the beads causes the beads to stick to each other when water is added contains a chemical that can turn toxic when ingested.

Children who swallow the beads can become comatose, develop respiratory depression, or have seizures. The Chinese government admitted over the weekend that Aqua Dots where indeed made with a chemical that is similar to Gamma Hydroxyl Butyrate, the "date rape" drug. This toxic compound can cause unconsciousness, seizures, drowsiness, coma and death. Aqua Dots were recalled last week after two children fell into a coma after swallowing the beads.

If your children have any of the Aqua Dots sets, take them away immediately. If your child has swallowed any, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible.
