Hershey said they do not get any of their peanut butter from ConAgra which manufactured the infected Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter, but the FDA has not ruled out the possibility.

The case of the tainted peanut butter is ongoing, with investigators still trying to follow the trail of Salmonella infestation. Investigators have widened their search to products that contain peanut butter such as candy bars including Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

FDA spokesman Michael Herndon said "I don't have any information on Reese's peanut butter cups but ConAgra's products were sold and distributed a number of ways, including to a number of institutional food establishments," he said in an email. "As part of the traceback FDA is trying to determine who these establishments and food service providers are but we don't have that information at this time."

Hershey, which makes Reese's products, said they do not get any of their peanut butter from ConAgra which manufactured the infected Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter. ConAgra has not said whether the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups contain any of its peanut butter.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not ruled out the possibility and one consumer has told ConsumerAffairs.Com that she fell ill and missed work after eating a King Size Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.
