About 24 hours after a routine corrective breast surgery on Friday, an 18-year-old Florida teen passed away. Two hours into her surgery, Stephanie Kuleba was rushed to the Delray medical Center to correct asymmetrical breasts and inverted areola, according to the Associated Press news brief.

There is little additional information at this time and the family's attorney said Tuesday that it was too early to determine whether or not legal action would be taken in the case. We will try to keep you updated as this story develops. In the meantime, if you or someone you know has suffered injury or even death as a result of medical mistakes, contact a medical malpractice attorney to discuss your legal options.
